When you’re planning to travel by car – and you’re bound to be on the road for about five hours or more, you should definitely think of ways to keep yourselves busy.
It ain’t easy sitting in a small vehicle for quite a long period of time and most people won’t be able to ‘sleep it off’, so it’s best for us to always have games in store whenever boredom strikes. That being said, here are some of the games I recommend you play…

No way can you drive and travel far if you haven’t eaten anything, right? Now, the perfect solution to a hungry tummy if you’re on the road and traveling is no other than a drive-thru – that is – if everybody tries to observe proper drive-thru etiquette.
Just like with dining in a resto or fast-food center, there are practices and behavior which we should adopt and observe when we order via drive-thru’s. Here are a few of them… Read the rest of this entry »

Okay. Here I go again with my ‘outdatedness’. I don’t know when exactly was this made available but it was only just recent when I ‘discovered’ how to get driving directions via Google Maps. Yes, call me the chic who has been living under a rock, but hey, you can’t blame me, we didn’t have a car before. Anyway, enough of my justification. Let me now explain to you the step-by-step procedure on how you can get directions via Google’s map feature…

Such cause delays which can lead to missed rides, cancelled reservations, and more. Now, we all know how infuriating traffic can be right? – but I should say that it’s still best to handle it with positivism than to go all cynic and get paranoid about its consequences. Here are some things that you can do to lessen your risk of getting bored, angry – or even depressed – while stuck in traffic.

A car breaking down in the middle of nowhere is one of the most popular scenes in a lot of horror or thriller movies which feature serial killers and psychopaths – and perhaps that is why I’ll probably freak out if that happens to me. That is also the reason why I gathered advice and tips on what we should do if ever our car breaks down some place we’re not familiar with.

Option No. 1: Pull your car to the side, turn on hazard lights, Stay inside your car, and then use your cell phone to call a towing service, the nearest tow truck station, or somebody who can come and pick you – and bring a towing service as well. I can’t remember how many times I have seen Brazil in the movies. Among the movies I’ve seen – I think it was RIO which has inspired me the most to want to visit the place even though it’s just an animated film. After watching the film, I actually surfed the net to find out more about the best places in Brazil and from the many places I’ve checked, here’s now a list of those top tourist spots in Brazil which I want to see when I get the chance to spend a holiday vacation there…

When you are unsure of the A-OK condition of your own car – or if it simply doesn’t fit the requirements of your travel plan (i.e., your car is too small for your and your companions plus your travel blogs, if you’re going abroad, etc.), it’s ideal to go for a car rental service. Finding a car rental service is actually not a hard thing to do as there are already tons of them both offline and online. What’s hard is to find a reliable BUT affordable service company which would prove to be ok when you start doing a brief investigation through client feedback and reviews, documents check, car history check, and more.

When you need car rental services, you should first know what kind of vehicle will you need depending on where you are going , your budget, the number of people you will be traveling with, and the amount of stuff you’re bringing with you. Once you’ve established your own qualifications, then you can now start hunting for that car rental service which meets your needs and you should also ask about their requirements. Of course, you would need to have a valid driver’s license first and foremost.
In addition, some car rental services usually ask if you would want to buy insurance for the period of the car rental. Also, keep in mind that some services do not allow their cars to be used by drivers which are below 25 years of age.
Prior to signing any rental contract, don’t forget to confirm the rental rates. Will you be charged hourly, daily, or weekly? Some even charge on a monthly basis. Sometimes, car rentals have special promos – especially when it’s not their peak season for travel in their areas. Do check if they also have a limit in the number of miles you can travel – and how much do they charge if ever you’d need the service of their drivers. You should also check what is their auto policy in case something happens to the car while it is in your possession.
It would also be nice if you can check the car you would be renting days before the actual day of your travel. Run a car history check just to be safe. If you would really hire their drivers, make sure that they are equipped with proper credentials – check their training and license documents.
When renting a car service, do not hesitate to ask questions. Make sure you have thoroughly read and understood the contract before signing it.

Texas is one of those places people love to go to come summer. I haven’t been to the place yet but I’ve seen and heard a lot about it. Here are some of those top summer destinations in Texas which you should visit (and I plan to go to) when we get the chance.
San Antonio. I wanna checkout the notable landmarks of the place – the Alamo, Riverwalk, and the Hemisfair Park. Another spot which I should probably bring the kids to is the world-famous San Antonio Zoo and the theme parks – Sea World and Fiesta Texas. I also want to checkout Mexican restaurants such as La Margarita’s, Tomatillo’s, and Mi Tierra Café.

I know, I know, among the most important things that you should do the night before you travel is to make sure that everything you need for your vacation is all packed –up. Pack the clothes, toiletries, the documents – all. Among the things you should definitely check the night before you travel are your passport and driver’s license, copies of your credit cards (plus a list of those toll-free or 800 numbers you need to call in case of inquiries or if you lose your cards), medical insurance cards, tickets, reservation receipts, and travel itinerary.
